Case Study: Creating an Eco-Lifestyle Festival, the First of Its Kind

the client

Our client - a university recreational sports facility - serves over 35,000 students, faculty, staff, and community members. In particular, its marketing and business development department hosts one of the largest college lifestyle festivals every year attracting over 36,000 attendees. Recently, our client developed an initiative to showcase how it has been reducing its ecological footprint, as well as promoting healthier and greener lifestyles for its members.

the challenge

The most ambitious element of this initiative was organizing the first eco-lifestyle festival of its kind on the university campus. BEACN worked with this client to develop a program, green operations, and market the festival. We connected dozens of corporate sponsors and green businesses to the elusive 18-24 age group and generated environmental awareness among thousands of attendees.

what we did

This is how BEACN helped:

  • Researched and secured various vendors, exhibitors, and student and community groups
  • Designed and strategized the event structure and program schedule
  • Developed creative programming to engage student attendees
  • Created innovative and green approaches to marketing
  • Reduced waste by promoting and implementing greener event operations and activities

testimonial

“Working with BEACN has been a very positive experience. The group’s energy and commitment to the project makes them a valuable resource. Their overall contribution to the project has surpassed my initial expectations.”
