BEACN is a student-run consulting nonprofit serving environmentally and socially responsible organizations. Our teams intentionally recruit undergraduate student consultants from all majors across the University of California, Berkeley campus. Our students work in diverse project teams to deliver pivotal and sustainable business strategies to drive environmental change.

Through consultation, students are able to aid their client businesses, nonprofits, or governmental institutions meet their strategic needs and learn more about how these different organizations operate. BEACN projects are research-intensive and involve comprehensive professional development. From honing presentation skills to exploring new methods of data analysis and visualization, the group is designed to be an accelerated learning and career development platform for all of its members.

We encourage students interested in exploring consulting, sustainability, and joining a tight-knit community to apply as Associate Consultants. Selections for student consultants are made on the basis of available openings, past experience, relevant skills, and demonstrated interest. We look for potential.

The Application Process

Interested in joining BEACN as an Associate Consultant? Our Spring 2018 recruitment cycle is now over. Please check back again in August to learn more about our Fall 2018 application process.

While each application is holistically reviewed, we are naturally selective in who we invite to interview. Our application process includes group case interviews and behavioral individual interviews. Every group case interview is modeled after a previous client engagement and is designed to give you a flavor of our work. If you have further questions or would like to meet us over coffee, please feel free to reach out to our executive team at beacn.berkeley@gmail.com.
